Kim Sajet, director of the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., was recently featured on Fox-TV.<\/p>\n

Among the points she made was that she wants to fulfill the National Portrait Gallery\u2019s mission:<\/p>\n

The mission of the National Portrait Gallery is to tell the story of America by portraying the people who shape the nation\u2019s history, development and culture.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

During the segment she speaks to the impact of visual images, portraits of these men and women that bring visitors to this special national museum every week.<\/p>\n

We are also impacted by the visual images found in a collection of online newspapers, such as GenealogyBank\u2019s Historical Newspaper Archives<\/a>. These newspapers can bring us an instant collection of images of our ancestors and the times in which they lived.<\/p>\n
