I spotted the \u201cNew England Clam Chowder\u201d on the menu and of course I wanted to give it a try.<\/p>\n<p>The meal looked great.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18115\" assured.<br \/>\n\u201cBut, it\u2019s brown and it doesn\u2019t taste like clam chowder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clam chowder is supposed to look and taste like this:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18121\" id=\"caption-attachment-18121\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Wikipedia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Just looking at it you can taste it.<\/p>\n<p>I know that other types of chowders exist: Manhattan style, corn chowder, fish chowder, spicy chowders, etc. \u2013 but this menu specifically said it was \u201cNew England Clam Chowder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>#EpicFail.<\/p>\n<p>As the <em>Dallas Morning News<\/em> reported in this 1964 newspaper article, New Englanders \u201care almost offended if they are served anything but the creamy New England Clam Chowder.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure
