Survey of the Muscle Shoals. Letter from the Secretary of War, transmitting the information required by a resolution of the House of Representatives of the 16th January last, in relation to an examination of the Muscle Shoals in Tennessee River, with a view to removing the obstructions to the navigation thereof, and the construction of a canal around the same. May 14, 1828. -- Read, and referred to the Committee of the Whole House to which is committed the bill from the Senate, (No. 46) to grant certain relinquished and unappropriated lands to the State of Alabama, for the purpose of improving the navigation of the Tennessee, Coosa, Cahawba, and Black Warrior Rivers.
