Great Granddad Walter S. Pyle, Contractor 7
Very early in his career, and already a "professed" carpenter, as was his older brother, William R.; his father, Nathan E.; and his grandfather, Eli Pyle. He may not have yet identified himself as a contractor, so to speak, but as the clip indicates, he was already "... doing the work."

Research.
The Walter S. Pyle, undersigned in this Public Notice, may be Great Granddad, as he was active as a contractor @ this time in the Wilmington and Newark communities of New Castle County. However, I rather believe that this is "the other" Walter S., due to the phrase: "respectable citizens of said districts ...." Not that Granddad would have been any less "repectable," but that "the other" Walter was more well established & better known in the community, To date, I've not tried to find out much about "him."
