Monthly Update: GenealogyBank Adds 130 Million Records in September!
Every day, GenealogyBank is working hard to digitize more newspapers and obituaries, expanding our online collection to give you the largest newspaper archive for family history research available anywhere. This month, in honor of our Fifth Anniversary approaching on October 18, we put production into overdrive and made the largest single-month addition to GenealogyBank ever!

Here are some details about our most recent additions (we actually added new content to thousands of titles, but the following is a representative sample):
  • A total of 73 titles from 26 states
  • Titles marked with an asterisk (*) are obituaries only and are new to our archive
  • Those marked with a plus sign (+) are historical newspapers new to our archive
  • We've shown the date ranges so that you can determine if the new content is relevant to your personal research
If a recent addition to our archive interests you, simply click on that paper's title; it is an active link leading to that newspaper's search form.

There is also an option available on the historical newspapers' search form that gives you the ability to search only the new content added in the past month, two months, or three months.

Q&A Section

Q: I have been searching for the death and burial of Robert Flanders Vedder. I know he was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Amsterdam, N.Y. He married Catherine Winnifed Casabonne in 1937 or 1938. He was an Air Corps or Air Force career man. We know he was stationed in Japan and Alabama. We think he died at Dover Air Force Base and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, but cannot find records of his death or burial. I really need his death and burial info. Can you please help me?
