Location: Naples, FL

NewsBank, inc., a recognized leader in delivering publisher and media content through our web based products and services, is seeking an experienced part-time receptionist for our corporate headquarters in Naples, FL (Pelican Bay).

Duties include answering and disseminating calls on a busy multi-line console in a fast-paced environment; greeting visitors; maintenance of miscellaneous reports and directories, and other administrative duties as assigned. Position requires excellent communication skills with a pleasant telephone voice, proven attendance record and dependability, organizational and administrative skills, ability to multi-task, and a high degree of professionalism, composure, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Hours: Monday – Friday; 1:00 to 6:00 pm

Qualified candidates must have proficiency with computers, as well as 2-3 years receptionist experience, preferably with Cisco Telephone Systems.

Responsible for Quality Control of NewsBank/Readex Digital content, checking 100% of digital images scanned from archival collections to ensure established quality levels are maintained for high quality viewable images and input to OCR generated ASCII searchable-text.  Inputs structural metadata and verifies documents have been through all production steps and are completed and released for customer access.  Will work across many different production processes.

Qualifications include:  high school diploma or GED; strong file management skills, strong keyboarding skills; demonstrated word processing experience; strong proofreading skills and strong attention to detail.  Must be comfortable working with computers.  Candidate needs to have a proven track record of high quality, dependability and initiative.  This position is cross-trained to back up other positions and therefore requires flexibility to fill in where ever needed.

NewsBank and its historical subsidiary Readex, is seeking a successful and experienced International Account Sales Representative.

The International Account Sales Representative is responsible for selling NewsBank and Readex high-value web-delivered research content to educational institutions, public libraries, national libraries and other targets in assigned international territories. The International Account Sales Representative role is primarily a consultative inside, telephone sales role with periodic on-site sales trips to assigned territory(ies). The assigned territory and markets will be developed according to the candidate’s background experience and expertise. A successful track record and knowledge of academic (K12, higher education and post graduate), public and government libraries in Asia, Middle East, Africa or Europe is preferred.

The Account Sales Representatives may be located in the Naples, Florida office or may work from home offices located in the United States or abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Via telephone, email and personal visits, develops sales opportunities within academic libraries, public libraries, national libraries and government libraries in assigned territories, to sell web-delivered content.
  • Sales include maintaining, renewing and upgrading existing accounts, as well as acquiring new accounts, and selling to Company directed targets.
  • Accurately maintaining reports and sales forecast pipeline.
  • Accurately recording activity in the Company sales reporting system.
  • Meeting & exceeding new and renewal sales targets as defined by the Sales Manager and the compensation plan.
  • Participation in team strategy meetings and team sales meetings.
  • Travel to and participation in tradeshows and conferences as requested by Manager.
  • Travel to and participation in the annual sales meeting.
