Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on various aspects of news and information sources.
  • Maintain detailed records of 15,000 source rights, permissions, and related activities.
  • Collaborate with product teams to identify new or existing potential sources for collections.
  • Utilize both open source, internet-based and traditional non-internet research methods effectively.
  • Maintain clear and concise oral and written communication, ensuring the accuracy and relevancy of information disseminated.
  • Proactively engage in direct communication to resolve research-related queries or problems.
  • Serve as the Department's Researcher to locate and update records relating to potential publisher relationships.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and information to NewsBank staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Targeting: Maintain rights and permissions records in NewsBank databases and support the Rights and Permissions Department in research and target setup.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in research, with a preference for backgrounds in libraries, journalism, or related fields.
  • Background in, or knowledge of, the news industry and its research methodologies is highly desirable.

Sales Representatives are responsible for achieving sales territory growth goals by selling NewsBank resources to Public Libraries in their assigned territory. The Sales Representative position is a consultative sales role with some travel and can be in the Naples, Florida office or you may work remotely from your home office located in the United States.

Essential Functions:

  • Achieve or exceed individual goals e.g., prospect sales, renewing existing customer subscriptions, and upgrading of existing customers.
  • Generate leads and add new opportunities into your pipeline
  • Move opportunities in your pipeline to a sale
  • Strategize and grow your territory
  • Develop territory and account strategies in collaboration with Sales Management
  • Schedule appointments to uncover customer and prospects’ needs
  • Accurately forecast your sales pipeline
  • Accurately record all activity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Participation at trade shows/conferences as directed by Manager
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on pipeline management

The Manager, Interface Development (Consumer) is responsible for managing all activities of the Consumer software development team including:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assessing and ensuring the performance of one or more developers of any level (Junior, Senior, Lead). Includes but isn’t limited to setting direction, creating motivation, providing feedback and coaching tailored to individual needs, performance improvement plans (PIP), termination, and the merit increase program.
  • Responsible for the growth of one or more developers, to bring them to higher levels of contribution and leadership. Includes but isn’t limited to the Individual Development Plan (IDP) program.
  • Responsible for assessing staffing and skillsets and recommending changes (hiring, training, research, outsourcing, etc.).
  • Responsible for hiring and onboarding new developers, as necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring successful day-to-day operations and enhancements of one or more product lines. Includes but isn’t limited to defining and improving development & operational processes, ensuring coverage and continuity, defining policies and ensuring compliance, and influencing priorities.

Qualifications

Highly skilled software development manager with proven track record of developing teams and individuals that deliver high-quality products on time and on budget.

  • Has at least 3 years’ experience as a technical manager, driving the performance and operational efficiency of one or more teams.
  • Has at least 5 years’ experience in the software development field.
  • Has practical development experience with web application design and architecture.
  • Works and communicates effectively with developers and development leadership.
  • Works extremely well with other related teams, both technical and non-technical – User Experience, Customer Service, Marketing, Quality Control, Technical Operations, etc.
  • Has expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript development ecosystems, specifically Node.js, React, and associated tools.
  • Experience in a B2C e-commerce setting is desired.
