Channel 33 Announces New Fall Lme Up New additions to the fall line up of KXTX will premier the week of Sept. 10. Mon- day-Friday at 2:30 there will a syndicated “BOZO," program being produced in Portsmouth, Va., featuring a side-kick named “Dur T. Ratt” who helps Bozo through his hilarious adven tures. Being added also to the daily schedule will be "The Lucy Show" each day Monday-Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Lucille Bull and her perennial side-kick Vivian Vance and Gale Gordon help provide the daily laughs. Each evening in the 10:00 p.m. spot will be the "Bold Ones" an alternating series of "The Doctors,” “The Law yers," “The Senator,” "The Protectors,” and "Serge” of fering some of the finest ac tors such as E. G. Marshall, Arthur Kennedy, Burl Ives, Hal Ho'hrook and others. Evenings will be filled with dramatic happenings. KXTX will continue to air "Mayber ry” at 5:30 p.m., "The Courtship of Eddie’s Fath er,” at 6;00 p.m., followed by "Andv Griffith”, at 6:30 p.m. Earlier in the schedule we will continue with "Flip per” and “Lost In Space”. The Saturday line-up con tinues with the cartoon char acters of "The Hardy Boys", "Heckle and Jeckle”, M As- tronut", "Deputy Dawg” and "Top Cat". Western adven ture and excitement has a good time block with "The Monroes” at 11:00 a.m., "Cowtown Rodeo” at noon, Sugarfoot" at 1:00 p.m. and "Laramie” at 2:00 p.m. with "Trails West” and "Western Star” following at 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. re spectively. Subject to FCC approval Channel 33 will assume con trol of Channel 39 some time in October and at that time KXTX will expand its broad cast day. Sign-on will tenta tively be at 6:45 a.m. with the News and Weather. We will be adding many pro grams of Interest to the kids including "Bugs Bunny and Friends”, "Dennis the Men ace”, "Little Rascals”, and "Jeff’s Collie”, "Bonanza”, "Gomer Pyle" and ”Late Night Movies” will help round out the evening sched ule with sign off being ap proximately 2:30 a.m. The new fall series for our Christian musical variety programs is now getting un derway. Returning will be "Warren Roberts Presents” each Tuesday evening at 9 and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Warren Roberts Presents some of the best in Gospel Quartet music. The "New Directions” will continue to air twice weekly at 9 p.m. Friday and Noon, Sunday. A new time slot for the Soul Sound of "Right On” has been found at 10:30 on Satur day evenings. KXTX will continue its group of teaching programs which Include "Teach-In”, Monday and Thursday at 9:00 p.m., "The Ministers” at 9:30 on Wednesday and "The Lesson” at 8:30 on Saturday. Channel 4 ‘King Football’ j Honored at CBS Exclusive, live sports ac tion highlighted by coverage of National Football League games, National Basketball Association games and col lege post-season football l bowls, as well as track and ! field, college post-season bas ketball, horse racing, major golfing events, bowling, ten- , nls and a variety of other j sports will be presented I throughout the 1973*74 sea son on the CBS Television Network. The broadcast schedule for the NFL regular season, which is entering its 18th season on the network, be gins Sunday, Sept. 16, and in and on two Saturday after noons. Dec. 8 and Dec. 15. DoubJeheaders will be broadcast on eight Sunday afternoons, Sept. 16; Oct. 7, 14, 21; Nov. 4, 18, 25; and Dec. 9. In those cities in which an NFL game is being played, only a single game will be broadcast on the doubleheader dates. The CBS Television Net work will broadcast 65 Na tional Football Conference games and 18 Inter-confer ence games between the Na tional and American Confer ences.
