Flint TV Station Test Pattern Is on Air Flint television was n step nearer reality today with WTAC-TV transmitting a test pattern on UHF Channel 16. The first local station put Its pattern on- the air at 9:35 P. M. Wednesday and resumed today, while engineers worked to iron out technical problems. The starting date for actual programming remains unccr- tain, but could come in from one to two weeks, depending on the progress of tests. No target date has l>ecn announced other than "early November.” The station said unscheduled tests would continue today, Fri day and Saturday. Beginning Monday. WTAC- TV will present n regular test pattern with sound from 10 A. M. to 6 P. M. dally except Sun day to facilitate Installation and conversion of sets. The pattern may be interrupted, however, for adjustments.
